Sept. 18th Mosaic exhibition & harpsichord
recital
Members of The Rogue Sculptors (Natalie Reid, Mary Douglas and
more) will join Annie Balcomb, Catherine Bennett and Ananda Ma with
others yet to be confirmed - for an exhibition of mosaics called
"Mosaic". The exhibition will be opened by Arts out West Executive
Officer Tracy Callinan (accompanied by free wine tasting
& nibbles). The opening will be followed by a recital of music
for Harpsichord by Tracy accompanied by dinner -
bookings for the dinner & recital are essential (02 6344 2332)
- cost for the recital & 2 course dinner $40. Because a
number have people have asked for it we are doing a 6 course
degustation menu also on this night featuring 6 wines matched to 6
courses the cost for the recital plus the 6 course degustation will
be $60 please specify which option you choose when booking. A
mosaic workshop is also planned for this weekend if you an interest

Womindra - Canowindra's own mini world/folk music festival in the
tent.
Mic Conway & Robbie Long.
Mic Conway, of the legendary "Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band" and
the infamous "Mic Conway's National Junk Band" is teaming up with
one of Australia's finest guitarists and driest wits - Robbie Long.
From Darwin Festival to Illawarra to Melbourne Cabaret Festival,
it's a circus of comedy, magic and music - idiosyncratic songs that
will make your jaw drop, toes tap and sides split. Featuring some
Matchbox favourites like - My Canary Has Circles Under His Eyes and
an hilarious version of Tom Lehrer's "Masochism Tango".
Stripped back, irreverent and shameless, Mic Conway and
Robbie Long will give you their Blues while taking yours away.

Saturday October 23rd. performance of Poetry from Victorian and
colonial times by outstanding performance poet Noel
Cislowski
Noel is one of Australia’s foremost performers of Australian
Bush Ballads and the works of CJ Dennis and recently was awarded a
Fellowship from the AMEB for his performances. He also holds AMEB
and Trinity College (London) diplomas in Speech and Drama as well
as in Singing and has performed works with the Sydney Symphony
Orchestra and the Festival Symphony Orchestra. He has performed
leading roles on stage and in musical Comedy in Brisbane and
Sydney. Noel has for many years been a teacher of speech and drama,
a lecturer in music and drama at several universities and colleges
in NSW, an adjudicator and examiner in music and speech and drama.
Noel's performance will be Accompanied by free winetasting a 3
course and coffee. Cost for the evening will be $65. Noel's fee
will be donated to Canteen, book on

by cellist David Periera in a special fund raiser for the music
dept. of Canowindra High School
Geoffrey Lancaster OA. will give a recital on piano forte
accompanied by cellist David Periera in a special fund raiser for
the music dept. of Canowindra High School. The recital will be
accompanied by a 3 course meal preceded by free wine tasting. taste
Canowindra’s restaurant is now fully licensed so all beer and other
alcoholic beverages can now be purchased in addition to wine. The
ticket price will be $65 with $30 of each ticket purchased going to
the music dept. of Canowindra High School. Geoffrey Lancaster is
donating his fee in addition to a small contribution from taste
Canowindra to make this possible. more..
