Tuhi Timoti was a huge hit when he joined Jimmie

The band
were mobbed by enthusiastic patrons at the end of the night who
insisted on a group photo. Tuhi has played and toured with an
impressive list of notables including Ray Charles, Ricky may,
Doug Parkinson, Cilla Black, Soloman King, Danny La Rue, Dame Kiri
Te Kanawa, Malvin Major, Sir Howard Morrison, John Rowles, Billy T
James, Max Bygraves, Rolf Harris, Kenny Rodges, Dolly Parton, Julie
Anthony, Jackie Love. His performances in stage shows include
Hair,
Man of La Mancha, Dracula, Jesus Christ Superstar, Tropical Lights
(at Conrad Jupiters Casino). Jimmie
played jazz as well as Rock

O'Keefe finally went in the nightclub scene in Sydney at
Chequers as featured saxophonist, with Della Reece, Carmen McRae,
Nelson Eddy and Francis Faye. In the 80's Jimmie
enjoyed working with Cold Chisel, Renee Geyer and Venetta Fields.
Recently Jimmie was Musical Director for the highly successful Long
Way To The Top show. Jimmie formed a musical relationship with
bass player Ray Campbell back in the Johnny O’Keefe days, on
November 8th Ray joined Jimmie & Tuhi on the
taste Canowindra gig where all three team up with Ross
Sampson on Drums & percussion, Ross is remembered for his
stint in The Eight Day Clock (funk Band). It was the best of nights
with half way through the night the tables pushed back to the walls
and the patrons raging on the dance floor. |
